  1. Choosing a smart FIOS set up is likely to be the most troublesome part of getting FIOS. There are an awesome number of packages and choices to go with. the positioning ended up going with the FIOS extreme package, and with all the promotions and discounts it ended up being cheaper than our Comcast package.

  2. I need help. My stb box had to be replaced. One arrived by UPS a whole weekend later than expected. When installed box would not self activiate. After discussing the matter over two days with customer service reps in Ohio, Texas, California, New York, Florida, supposedly many technicians through all these sites, and billing in Arizona it was decided that the ticket for the box was incorrectly written and only an inhome technician could correct the problem. Now after a week without service the technician was scheduled for Friday between 3:30 and 7:00. At 5:15 customer service was called again (45 minutes of waiting and the "Music") the supervisor said that they would not be coming on Friday. They had gone home. New time between 9:00 and 1:00 on Saturday was scheduled. Fortunately, an email revealed later in the evening that the visit was actually scheduled for sometime on Saturday before 5 P.M. Correcting this took another 20 minutes on hold and hopefully a correct scheduling date. There has definitely a better way to solve customer service problems. What else should I be doing to resolve this issu?

I had decided to switch over ALL my services to FIO's, scheduled an appt. with them to set it up- They were to be there between 9-12- Never showed called 3 times was told they were coming- at 4:00 I got so annoyed they put me thru to someone who said "you are not going to be happy But it was never assigned to a technician" " We will come tomorrow between 8-12 BUT you will be bumped to the top and be our 1st service call tomorrow. It is now 10;00AM I just called and they are not coming again- the work order was never put in again-Needless to say we are going back to Cablevision- I have never been treated so poorly & lied to by any company like this
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST & INCOMPETENT COMPANY

  6. Hi, I live in NJ. Verizon sent to our building salespeople to offer services : Verizon FIOS. Beware of this!!! I spoke to the saleperson, filled out the information, and than next day the Credit Verification Department called asking for secure information to be sent to them, including the picture Id. THe informaiton was: all my phone numbers, ss#, and than they wanted the clear picture Id, which Salesperson saw. I'm puzzled what is going with this company? Trying to give them business by getting the service from them and they are making our life very difficult. Beware of Verizon!!! I have the cel phone with Verizon and as soon as my contract is over, I'll move another company.

  7. I cancelled auto pay on the internet and got a confirmation # because I switched carriers. Four days later I get a letter in the mail thanking me for activating my auto pay! Just had to ask my bank to stop payment to verizon at a charge of $30. Well worth it since Verizon would continue to bill me for service that was cancelled. I went through it with my parents service. They continue to take the money and then you have to fight to get it back.
